How to remove MaaS360 from my Android device
If you no longer want MacIntyre email access on your Android device, then follow the below instructions to remove MaaS360.
If the device is provided by MacIntyre, then the ability to remove MaaS360 is restricted, as the device will need to be returned to IT Support for secure deactivation.Login
Login to MaaS360 as you normally do
Settings
Tap the settings app
Remove MDM control
Tap the 3 dots in the top right hand corner of the settings, then tap 'Remove MDM Control'
Removal confirmation
Read the Information prompt, and if you still want to disable MaaS360 which will remove MacIntyre email account access, tap 'OK'
Password
Enter your MaaS360 passcode
Apps removal
On the list of MaaS360 apps which access will be removed from, tap 'REMOVE MDM CONTROL'
Uninstall
The app will now remove any corporate data from the MaaS360 app. You can close the app whilst it does this. If you tap the app whilst it is working, you will be prompted for your passcode, which will fail. If you tap the app after it has finished, you will get a prompted to re-add the device to MaaS360.
Uninstall apps
If you have no plan to re-setup MaaS360 on your device, then uninstall the apps from your device.
Tap and hold on the MaaS360 app, then whilst continuing to hold, drag the app to the top of the screen, where there will be an option to 'Uninstall' the app from the device. Repeat for any other MaaS360 apps, i.e. Browser
If this isn't the case, then follow the uninstall guide for your device.
