How to recall a sent email
If you have sent an email by mistake using Outlook 2016, you can use the below instructions to recall it.
Recalling an email is not guaranteed. If the recipient has already opened the email, the recall will fail to recall. If the recipient chooses to ignore the recall request, the recall will fail to recall.Open
In Sent Items, open the sent email you want to recall

In the Move section of the Home Ribbon, click ‘Actions’ then ‘Recall This Message’.
If you have a small email window open, ‘Actions’ may just be an icon of a list in front of an email; see the image on the right as an example
Choose
Choose if you want to just have the sent email deleted, or if you want to replace the email with another.
If you choose to replace it, a new email window will open
Once you’ve chosen which option you want, click OK
Confirmed
The original email will have a new banner, highlighting that you tried to recall the email
