How do I get MacIntyre email on my personal device?

If you wish to be able to access your MacIntyre email, calendar, tasks, etc... on your personal device, MacIntyre IT Support have a system in place that can give you access in a secure way.

The system installs an app on your device called MaaS360, which is a secure place where you access your emails. This app keeps your work content totally separate from your personal content on your device.

With this app, IT Support has no access to any personal content on your device. The only prerequisites are that the app can check your location; in case the device is lost or stolen, so we can wipe the MacIntyre data on it; and it enforces a minimum device PIN of at least 6 characters.

Below are the steps; with associated instructions; you need to take, to get MacIntyre email on your device.

IT Support only support MaaS360 with Android and iOS devices.

Request

You need to request email access on your device by logging a query, detailing why you want this access setting up.

You can request this by either using the 'Add Query' button above or sending an email from your MacIntyre email account to it.helpdesk@macintyrecharity.org

Enrolment

Once the query has been approved, IT Support will create a MaaS360 Enrolment request for your device.

The request is by default sent to your MacIntyre email address, but if you wish, you can ask for it to be sent as an SMS text. In which case, you will need to provide your mobile number in the query.

The enrolment request is for use on one device and cannot be used to add email to multiple devices.

IT Support only support MaaS360 on one device, as each set-up incurs a cost to MacIntyre.
